After delighting Milanese nights by playing in the best underground clubs, "Rap Fi Still Arab," the first work, entirely self-produced and fully downloadable from the website, by the young Tunisian rapper Karkadan, is finally released.
The album stands out for rap sung both in his mother tongue, that is Arabic, as well as in French and Italian, a multicultural rap, original and never banal.
The album is composed of 13 audio tracks with numerous features from young underground artists like Bolla Gee and Rosko. Apart from the hit "Ana Tunzi Baba Tunzi", with its almost reggae-dancehall syncopated sounds, "Alem Fsed", "Ganja Party", and "Liytim" (for which a drum'n'bass version is also in production) also stand out.
The album also includes an animated video track of the song "Ana Tunzi Baba Tunzi" directed by GGToonz, a young Milanese artist known for producing various cartoons and animations who also curated the graphic design.
The artist is inspired by masters of rap from overseas, and his music is a mix between American hip-hop and Middle Eastern music with committed and politicized lyrics.
