When last year the Kaiser Chiefs released their fourth studio album, "The Future Is Medieval," the conversation revolved almost exclusively around the unusual marketing strategy that accompanied its release. The strategy allowed each user of their official website to create and download their "do-it-yourself" album by choosing and arranging 10 out of the 20 tracks provided by the band.

The idea met with decent success, but the subsequent official album release went largely unnoticed, overshadowing the songs and the attempt at a sound revamp by the English group.

This "Start The Revolution Without Me" is simply a revised and corrected version for the American market of "The Future Is Medieval". Four songs have been removed from the original album, and four new ones have been added, including the single "On The Run," a great track with an anthemic ending (a common trait for the Leeds band) in the style of "The Angry Mob" and "You Want History." The other three tracks ("Cousin In The Bronx," "Can't Mind My Own Business," and "Problem Solved") come from the "The Future Is Medieval" sessions and add nothing to the previous work.

A completionist album, negligible for everyone else.
