At the beginning of my journey into the world of metal, a tunnel from which I never emerged and don't want to leave, along with records from legends of the genre like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, Ozzy Osbourne, and Slayer, I decided to buy this collection by Judas Priest, a band I had heard about due to their strong influence on Slayer (on "Reign In Blood" they even paid tribute to them with the splendid "Dissident Aggressor") and for their significance in heavy metal and hard rock. I was not disappointed because it is truly a well-prepared collection, with two albums that encompass the best of Priest's discography from 1973 to 1993, featuring excellent songs like the iconic "Painkiller", "Eat Me Alive", "Breaking The Law", "Exciter", "Metal Gods", "Living After Midnight", "Dissident Aggressor" and "Bloodstone", just to name a few. The perfection of the Priest, with those bone-crushing riffs, hard and precise drumming, and that piercing yet capable voice, literally captivated me during listening and they have become one of my favorite bands. This review is purely personal because I know very well that 4 is too much for a compilation, but as I said, it was one of the first albums I bought and it holds great value for me, and I thought it was fair to review it, even if it's very short! I almost forgot the usual appeal: for those who don't know the Priest (but I think that's impossible) it is perfect for having a good overview of what this very important band has done!
