Jorma Kaukonen

American guitarist and singer, born 1940, founding member of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna; noted solo artist renowned for acoustic fingerpicking and interpretations of blues and country material.

Kaukonen is celebrated for his fingerpicking guitar style and roots in blues and country. Reviewers note Quah (1974) as a sparse, solo-guitar masterpiece influenced by Reverend Gary Davis.
