THE REVIEW

I must admit I was immediately enchanted, after just a few seconds. And I must admit I had never used I must before now.

It all happened on a Sunday morning, I believe it was the aqueous polyrhythm of Theta State that woke me up. As I said: just a few seconds to catch my attention, I rush to ask for explanations but nature is stronger than me. Much stronger than me. And so I continue listening while dozing on the toilet, leaving the door open for Marti's happiness.

A combination of contaminations and a completely unexpected result: a face full of delight and awkward hip moves, with only one thought in mind -oh yes baby, that's how you want it baby, because you want it baby, oh yes you want it baby-.

A powerful opening: Midnight Mischief kicks off a record that's extremely soul, partially r'n'b, rigorously and perfectly executed. The sound engineering inevitably reminds me of those incomprehensible and hard-to-find vinyl records of my father, that early '90s Acid Jazz, when I was more concerned about why they had taken the almond-covered Fiesta off the market. That early '90s Acid Jazz, which could also be found in such a genuine and globally successful album as The Space Cowboy; in its keyboards, its frequent majorseven chords, its delicate drumming, and in the groove full of mannerism and taste at the same time.

Assuming you decide to give it a listen, and don't consider it steaming horse manure from the first notes (possible), you will encounter a progressive acceleration of bpm that is completely natural, so clean that it seems plastic, not in its negative connotation, where an artificial intent, devoid of heart, is highlighted, but rather as a demonstration of a total empathy with the instrument. They are having a go at the instruments in a semi-direct bomb take. Reading the letters, in any case, does little good. Better silent > listen.

I'm keeping a close eye and ear on the guy. I must.
