Johnny Moped is an English punk rock band formed in the Croydon area in the mid-1970s, fronted by Paul Halford (stage name Johnny Moped). Their album Cycledelic was released in 1978.

Early line-ups included members of the Burns brothers (one of whom is Raymond Burns, known as Captain Sensible). A 2013 documentary titled Basically, Johnny Moped (directed by Fred Burns) documents the band's history and frontman Paul Halford.

The available review presents Johnny Moped as outsider pioneers of the mid-1970s punk scene, with Cycledelic (1978) capturing a raw, incendiary spirit. The album is valued for its authentic imperfections rather than technical polish. A 2013 documentary, Basically, Johnny Moped, is recommended for context.

For:Listeners interested in 1970s British punk, collectors of classic punk albums, fans of outsider/garage punk performances.
