English guitarist and singer, leading figure in the British folk revival, founding member of Pentangle, known for fingerpicking and blending blues, medieval and early music influences.

Born 8 August 1944; died 26 March 2015. Active from the early 1960s until his death. Co-founded the group Pentangle with Bert Jansch.
