John Boorman (born 18 January 1933) is an English film director known for Deliverance (1972), Zardoz (1974) and Excalibur (1981).

Born in Shepperton, Surrey. Early notable films include Catch Us If You Can (1965), Point Blank (1967) and Hell in the Pacific (1968).
