Johann Sebastian Bach - Mischa Maisky

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was a German Baroque composer who wrote the Six Cello Suites. Mischa Maisky (born 1948) is a Latvian-born cellist, known for expressive interpretations; he recorded the Suites (a Deutsche Grammophon release cited in the review, recorded in 1985) and has been described in the review as a student of Rostropovich.
