‌Anyone who listens to a bit of hip hop knows that over the last 10/20 years the sound has changed a lot, as has the clothing, and the "flow" too. They're all still "nigga" amongst themselves, but they're all way too obsessed with Gucci and company (even 2pac liked brands, but not just those). Basically, now they're all Lil Pump (if you don't know who that is, well, thank goodness!). Among the "outsiders" that I consider valid, one of the most surprising is the young Giovanni culocattivo aka Joey Bada$$.

From NY with fury, in this debut mixtape our hero was 17 years old, which makes it even more incredible. The sound is fucking East Coast; if the dichotomy between the coasts in the hip hop world has practically disappeared, culocattivo hasn't lost it. In fact, you listen to this "shit," as he would say, and it feels like listening to Mobb Depp from '95, the year the nigga in question was born. In short, this stuff is unmissable for anyone who loves well-made East Coast rap, you can already tell from the mood of the intro "And just ride with a nigga like, Just fly with a nigga like, Just vibe with a nigga like, Uh, uh, one-two, Show you what this do, yo".
‌And then, guys, there's technique, lots of technique.. "Cause when niggas start equippin', and throw the clip in
Your blood drippin', and got you slippin'
Another victim, don't know what's hit them – through his spinal
