Joe Wright (born 25 August 1972) is an English film director known for visually rich adaptations and films such as Pride & Prejudice (2005), Atonement (2007), Hanna (2011) and Darkest Hour (2017).

Wright gained recognition with Pride & Prejudice (2005). His 2007 film Atonement featured a score by Dario Marianelli that won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Score. Darkest Hour stars Gary Oldman, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for that role.
