THE REVIEW

UNCHAIN MY HEART - a record, no... rather, the record.

Released in 1987, it represents a song that achieved enormous success for Joe Cocker. "Unchain my heart" - the first track of the album immediately opens the eyes of anyone who was sleeping, a great cover by Ray Charles, with excellent musicians. I'll just say that on sax there was Clarence Clemmon. And you can see it in the video too... eheheh. One last detail about this song, it was used as the music in the Cornetto Algida commercial!!! Do you remember?
The second track, also a cover "Two Wrongs" is an emotionally heavy song in the ultimate Cocker style. "I Stand In Wonder" eheheh a song I would put in those films where the protagonist is in his convertible driving with the wind in his hair against an oceanic backdrop, and lots of palm trees. A fresh sound, but typically '80s! "The River's Rising" the third on the album is, how to say, the rightful continuation of the CD, it's a continuous mix of great and intense choirs and sounds. "Isolation" is a slow one, and because of this, perhaps not much appreciated, a ballad... still excellent.
"All Our Tomorrows" is the classic love single from the album, which I cannot quite appreciate. It will be a classic, too classic. "A Woman Loves a Man" I believe is a reworking of the super classic, "When A Man Loves A Woman" eheheh kidding aside, it has nothing to do with it... but it is also a wonderful love ballad.
"Trust in Me" a little song always dedicated to feelings, but different because it's sung in parts. Now, I don’t know the right term... but it's a duet with a woman. For this track, anyone who listens would want it to be sung by Tina Turner... a duet was later made with only the Tina Turner re-recording, and so it didn't have the deserved success.
"The One" second last track, also a pure love ballad, with a backing singer who has two silk threads instead of vocal cords (to be appreciated!!). The last track "Satisfied" a wonderful track in full '80s style despite them almost being over, Joe... maintains his style to the very end. Last song, last burst of energy in the album. A lively ending... so that the album can start again.

As for the cover, a bit simple, perhaps too much... even the back with the titles and the artist's name.
I honestly, always notice and judge moooolto the covers as well.
