I was unaware of this beastly entity; I have to thank a scrapyard comment on one of my recent pages about Godflesh. A comment that showed the way, the right path to discover yet another project by Justin Broadrick.

Thus, I started with the first album by JK Flesh, released in May 2012.

The epitome of a 30-year musical career of a character who needs no introduction; we are in the realm of masterpiece, of a very dark and disturbing masterpiece.

Justin retraces paths previously trodden with Greymachine, Techno Animal, Godflesh, and even, to a lesser extent, Jesu.

Dense, industrial paths, entirely artificial; cavernous voices, compressed charges of bleeding posthuman discharges.

An album where guitars erect a metallic and monstrous sound wall; a recognizable trademark that merges with incessant synthetic repetitions, pounding samples, alien and nocturnal drones.

The uninterrupted listening of the work requires an effort like very few other times I have experienced in recent years; since the days of "Disconnected" by Greymachine, I haven’t felt such dramatic sensations. Alienation, oppression, anguish, fear: all of this is drawn from the consecutive flow of the long nine tracks that form the foundation of the auditory monolith.

The second track "Idle Hands" stands as the delirious pinnacle. Suffocating guitar loops repeated until exhaustion; a voice that seems to come from buried and infernal caverns; fragmented, fractured, piercing rhythms that annihilate you. Making my brain fuse once again.

The notes inside the cardboard package are very sparse; there are no lyrics, no thanks. Nothing, nothing, nothing at all...(Neg-AZZ-ione).
