I am about to review one of the jewels of my CD collection. Yes, you read that right, it is indeed: Thick As A Brick, my favorite Tull album. The subject of this review is the standard version of the album. Even though it is not a deluxe version in the strict sense, Thick As A Brick - Late Extra contains content that was not included in the very first CD prints. First of all, I must acknowledge that the album has truly incredible sound quality: every detail (even the most insignificant) can be heard in a brilliantly clear manner. In this kind of mini deluxe edition, the album, besides being digitally remastered, has been enriched with two bonus tracks: so this album could be called Digitally Remastered With Bonus Tracks). These two bonus tracks are: the live version of Thick As A Brick (recorded at Madison Square Garden, one of the concerts of the Heavy Horses Tour) and an interview with Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, and Jeffrey Hammond (this same interview was later included in full in the box set Thick As A Brick - CD & Audio DVD Special Collector's Edition).

Listening to the original album is always a great pleasure and always causes a powerful emotional upheaval, the same as I felt the first time I put the CD in my stereo. Even though it took me eight subsequent listens to appreciate this album, now I can easily include Thick As A Brick - Late Extra and Thick As A Brick - CD & Audio DVD Special Collector's Edition among my most important CDs, which have helped me grow from every perspective. From this album, the passion was born. So, if you are fans of this type of album and if you like the genre, this is an album to absolutely purchase!
