LA RECENSIONE

The Jestofunk are one of the most well-known (or unknown) groups in house music. They have created a new genre of music, funk-house. After only three albums, this double CD hits the stores, gathering all their best tracks, remixed tracks, and tracks never released before. The CD, in vinyl shape, immediately stands out stylistically. First CD: only remixes, half of which have never been released before in singles or anywhere else. It may be that I'm not a fan of remixes (even though there are respectable names like Supafly, Planet Funk...) but this disc hasn’t been listened to yet... The second CD features the original tracks and here we start: Jestofunk's hits! The best is undoubtedly "Can We Live," a duet with Ce Ce Rogers. In conclusion, a good CD that, excluding the remixes, is a solid 5.

Summary by Bot

Jestofunk's The Anthology compiles their top hits, rare remixes, and unreleased tracks in a stylish double CD format. While the remixes may not appeal to all, the original tracks, especially 'Can We Live' with Ce Ce Rogers, showcase the group's strength in funk-house. Overall, a solid release highly recommended for fans of the genre.
