Jesse McCartney is one of the most extraordinary emerging artists in the global scene.
The album “Beautiful Soul” is a masterpiece that confirms the immense talent of the artist. The track “Beautiful Soul” has quickly become a hit with its very R&B rhythm where Jesse's voice is nothing short of perfect despite his young age.
The other hit “Because You Live” is a more rock-oriented song and is worthy of the previous single, where Jesse showcases a decidedly gritty vocal tone. There are also wonderful ballads “Take Your Sweet Time” and “Why Don't You Kiss Her?", where Jesse showcases his extraordinary vocal abilities with a chilling falsetto that many artists who have been making records for a much longer time would envy.
These two tracks are of absolute level in terms of voice, lyrics, arrangement, and melody. There is a lot of electronics in “That Was Then” and it's impossible not to appreciate the Motown of “Why Is Love So Hard To Find”. The melody of “She’s No You.." is splendid. Furthermore, it's impossible not to notice influences from the best Michael Jackson in “Get Your Shine On”.
It's worth mentioning that Jesse is a co-author of four of the songs included. In short, a true all-round artist with an album that is a pleasure to listen to and even more pleasurable to listen to again. In “Beautiful Soul”, which can be defined as a jewel album, there is a bit of everything, from the most traditional pop to dance, reaching electro-pop, with a bit of good old rock as the dominant genre. Jesse is an artist who is in continuous evolution, and this album is just the beginning of a long and brilliant musical career that will establish him among the greatest artists in history.
