Jeremy Gluck was singer of the Barracudas. Nikki Sudden had been a member of the Swell Maps (real name Adrian Nicholas Godfrey). Rowland S. Howard was the guitarist known for his work with The Birthday Party and as a distinctive, influential player. Jeffrey Lee Pierce was leader of the Gun Club. Epic Soundtracks was Nikki Sudden's brother and a drummer. The album has been described in the press as produced by "the first indie supergroup." Sessions produced additional material later released on the EP Burning Skulls Rise and included in reissues.
