Jellyfish were an American power-pop band formed in 1989, led by Andy Sturmer and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. They released the albums Bellybutton (1990) and Spilt Milk (1993) before disbanding in 1994.

Known for ornate arrangements, Beatles-influenced harmonies, theatrical touches and densely layered pop production.

The review praises Jellyfish's debut Bellybutton for its addictive, richly arranged power-pop and memorable hooks. Highlights include songs such as "Baby's Coming Back", "Bedspring Kiss" and "Calling Sarah" and a standout vocal performance by Andy Sturmer. The album is described as inventive, theatrical, and rewarding on repeated listens.

For:Fans of melodic power-pop, Beatles-influenced pop, and richly arranged early-90s alternative rock.

The Jellyfish were peddlers of addictive yet completely legal pills, alchemized with unexpected skill in their first (...and second to last...) album.
