THE REVIEW

"Mystery White Boy" is the quintessential live performance collection of Jeff Buckley. The only one that is worthy of praise. The only one that, beyond mere commercial aspect, also contains material that is almost (and contextually) impeccable.

This is the result.

But there is also a bonus disc. A small EP - released in the Australian version - that gives us not just an encore, but rather the complementary part of the work.

Three tracks that excellently complete the collection. An interesting reinterpretation of "That's All I Ask" by Nina Simone, who, being very influential on our artist, was often honored during his performances. The inevitable "Lover, You Should've Come Over", taken from the live À L'Olympia: probably the best version of the famous ballad from "Grace". And "So Real", another classic-that-could-not-be-missed, which everyone felt the absence of in the edition published for the Australians ("a" privative).

An angel descended to earth, a voice from another world, a pure soul, extremely sensitive.

Twelve gems that convey where he had reached and where this small but immense man could have gone if the Wolf River hadn’t taken him.
