It is with great sadness that I am about to review this album.

Jean Michel Jarre is a significant part of my life, a passion I've held since I was a child and that has grown over the years, accompanying the listening of his music with unique life experiences.
I've flown to Paris multiple times, hitchhiked from Rotterdam to Brussels, walked under the pyramids of Egypt to see him live.
I own multiple copies of the same album, rarities, bootlegs, and the fortune of having met him in person several times, not to mention having kissed the cheek of his beautiful daughter at one of his parties... What more could I wish for? ... DECENT MUSIC!!!

Chronologie from 1994 is perhaps the last true work of Jarre that deserves committed listening. Then a downward spiral, but I didn't expect it could go this low.
Sessions 2000 is a collection of Electro-Jazz songs that could only be used as the soundtrack for a porn film. Mind you, I’m talking about porn films like those of Andrew Blake, so a quality production, impeccable in terms of technique and recording, but the genre is what it is.

Sad, disappointing, boring, repetitive, unoriginal. And the CD lacks the glossy and voyeuristic images of Blake that might have helped sales.
The only things salvageable are the samples of "analog" instruments like trumpets, piano... well-crafted and precise, but perhaps all ripped from some sample CD.

It is said that this album was made to fulfill a shaky record contract, but a True Artist shouldn't stoop so low and should always give their best...

As a fan, all that remains is to wait for the next work in hopes of a revival of what is still a significant figure in the history of global music. You know what I'll tell you? Now I'll listen to the perfect Equinoxe (1979) and then I'll revisit Petrucciani's Summer ... the electronics I like and the jazz I like...
