THE REVIEW

...If you think that "America" has truly been the homeland of ideals... if you've truly hoped for a more just society, less bourgeois... if you have genuinely believed in a "free" generation... if you've dreamed and loved the prairies, if you've read Jack Kerouac (and even if you haven't, you can always get around to it)... then this is definitely an album for you...

...I can't forget, many years ago, when I, a Neil Young fanatic, and his album "Harvest", discussed it with my Uncle, and how he, in response, recommended James Taylor's "Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon"... I can't forget how, by oversight, I played the vinyl from side B, and how I practically fell in love instantly with those magical notes and with that "warm and sincere" voice...

...Many years have passed, but "good music doesn't age," so I continue to love this album and find it formidable...

A measured singing, never excessive, a special, unique voice... perfect arrangements, the album is a mix of "folk, country, blues, jazz"... but above all, they are melodies that go straight to the heart...

The album, from 1971, contains 13 tracks, including the very famous "You've Got A Friend" written by Carol King. Frankly, I believe that all the songs deserve the same attention, but I can't help but mention my most beloved ones, "You Can Close Your Eyes," "Machine Gun Kelly," "Riding On A Railroad"...

...I know I'm being too brief, and I apologize for that, but it's an indispensable characteristic of mine. However, I cannot conclude without saying that, if you need peace, this album could give you plenty...
