There is a lot of stress around.

And it's no coincidence that the most popular playlists on YouTube, Spotify, etc. have names like "chillout music", "relaxing stuff", "good vibes", "peaceful sounds". And so the various Majestic Casual, Beast Koast et similia.

The instrumental rap side of this matter is represented, on the tube, by various channels that combine snippets of movies or anime (or simple images) with beat tapes by little-known authors, most often found thanks to tags on SoundCloud and/or Bandcamp.

STEEZYASFUCK is a channel that falls into this latter category and, on 09/11/2016, it publishes "Nimbus EP" by Jaeden Camstra, from Houston, Texas.

Just 20 minutes, 15 tracks in total but difficult to really notice when one ends, and another begins, because we're too lost in listening (or in our thoughts).

Bedroom instrumental rap, inevitably lo-fi in approach. Lounge music with samples of elegant marimbas and delicate arpeggios of guitar and jazz piano combined with soul rhythms, sometimes uptempo, sometimes more languid.

Vocal and musical samples (and others) chosen and inserted perfectly. Among others "Chetty's Lullaby" in which Chet Baker tries to sing in Italian, "My Happiness" by Ella Fitzgerald, exclamations from cartoons(?), field recordings of chirping, and then again Joe Pass and Wes Montgomery, Brazilian vibrations and finally Hawaiian ones.

A vaporwave cover that is misleading: in "Nimbus," there is little to no vapor, but we like it that way.

"Don't worry body, you're doin' fine."

Enjoy the journey.
