Jacques Audiard (born 30 April 1952) is a French film director and screenwriter, son of screenwriter Michel Audiard. He is known for character-driven films such as Il Profeta (A Prophet), Un sapore di ruggine e ossa (A Taste of Rust and Bone) and The Sisters Brothers.

A Prophet (Il Profeta) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film (2009). Audiard's Dheepan won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival (2015). The Sisters Brothers premiered at the Venice International Film Festival (2018) where Audiard won the Silver Lion for Best Director.
