THE REVIEW

From the CD liner notes, curated by Jacopo Andreini:

"You know when the road starts, but never where it goes" an improviser who had seen it all once told me. The three of us started from very different places and we have been meeting and merging more and more often from 1998 to today. And we will continue to do so tomorrow, in ever different ways.

Living by shaping life before you is not a characteristic of the artist, but of the human being. This is what we pursue in our being independent: carving furrows in the ground, following the scents of the world, and singing it out loud, every day a different taste in our mouths. That night in Rome, tired and sick, we were ending a highway traveled elbow to elbow for almost six months, from the West Coast to Salento. Tonight we are in Bordeaux, Oakland, Tokyo. We are playing different music, with different people. Waiting for the next curve that will have us breathing in unison in front of a new ocean.

(Futuristic gratings, jazz squabbles, primitive rumbles, minimal improvisations. Not recommended for the more sensitive ears.)
