I'll start from the end of what I think: I'll begin by saying that the new Jack White is a nice record, meant to be like a candy, and precisely for this reason, it doesn't go down well with me.
I don't enjoy it as much as his previous ones –Lazaretto– or –Blunderbuss.
I could stop here, as I've already said everything I need to say, but I'm someone who insists and I'll continue…
Made by him, I can't stand this record!
Superband, everything well-curated and stylish... Jack is one of those truly talented guys, he has clear ideas and a great sound...
In short, I believed in the record-event.
Oh no, be careful, the guitar is not the absolute protagonist, as the reviewer from Rolling Stone Italia writes: It's not true!
Do you mean he also noticed that electric guitars are hardly selling anymore?
Here, there's a jam of genres and styles intertwining and sweetening each other too much, binding the mouth annoyingly.
This record wants to taste of a lot of things, but in the end, it doesn't taste of anything: It doesn't have a real flavor.
It reminds me of his amused face in the clip –It Might Get Loud: The snobbish smile watching Jimmy Page play with the Les Paul and the tone bender.
Here it is, this is a –snobbish– record, just like his face.
In the end, Jack revealed himself, and I'm at peace because I found the right word, the one I wanted to say at the beginning.
Frank Zappa has been dead for a long time.

Jack White leaves everyone stunned and frees himself from the chains in which he had trapped himself until now.
"Boarding House Reach" is the sound of an artist who no longer has to prove anything and finally feels free to experiment, cut and sew far and wide.
