The available DeBaser review (3/5) treats Izzy Stradlin's 117° as a modest, fan-oriented solo effort blending country rock and white blues. The reviewer highlights semi-acoustic riffs, covers (Chuck Berry) and a playful instrumental closer. Overall appreciation for craft, with the conclusion that the album is mainly for existing fans.

For:Fans of Guns N' Roses, listeners of roots/country-influenced rock and collectors of solo work by GNR members.

Many claim that during his time with Guns 'n' Roses, Stradlin was the most capable composer and arranger.
