THE REVIEW

Although the title track has been repeatedly disavowed by the author and has become a classic of Italian music (karaoke material), this album marks a rock turnaround in the career of the Genoese artist, coming from the prog experience with Delirium and his early more pop solo albums.

The album, recorded in Florida with musicians who were part of Eric Clapton's band, is a mix of rock and Latin-sounding influences, very pleasant and unusual in the Italian production.

A cultured and refined singer-songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist always seeking new sounds, the album doesn’t reach the depth of later compositions but already shows great creativity and originality.

There is everything in Fossati: energy (La mia banda suona il rock) and class (Dedicato), reggae foundations (Limonate e zanzare) and melancholic introspection (… E di nuovo cambio casa).

We're in '79 halfway between "Dolce Acqua" and "La pianta del tè" which marks the beginning of the golden era of one of the most important singer-songwriters in Italian music.

A music that is hope, that is patience, that is an eternal departure and travels well on medium waves and frequency modulation.

I will die from so much love, all the more because there are people who hate me for one-hour loves and those who still look for me.
