It Bites are a British progressive/pop-rock band formed in Egremont, Cumbria, in 1982. The original lineup featured Francis Dunnery, John Beck, Dick Nolan, and Bob Dalton, scoring a UK hit with Calling All the Heroes in 1986. Reformed in the mid-2000s with John Mitchell on vocals/guitar, they released The Tall Ships (2008) and Map of the Past (2012).
