Ironwill is the project by the artist Salvo Dell'Arte, which centers around the theme of rock against bullying. The band is part of a broad kaleidoscopic spectrum where all artistic forms are involved: music, photography, video, comics, illustration, and art works, thus striving through various facets to prominently highlight the main theme. Following the debut "The Jonathan's Journey" here we are today with "Breakout," an album that confirms the wide range of sounds explored by the artist in the ten tracks present here. Already from the opener "As Fast As Rock'n'Roll," the path taken is clear, an impactful rock that combines soul nuances giving breath to the structure of the song. With "Breakout," we are at the core of Ironwill's expression (not surprisingly, it is the leading single of this release), hard-rock, classic rock, and funk parts that blend to offer the listener something unusual but well-conceived. An operative method that broadly reflects the entire tracklist, except for "True Or Not" and "Save Me," ballads that further ease the grip despite the fact that of the two, the second one is better in my opinion. The musicians accompanying Salvo Dell'Arte on this journey turn out to be crucial in the successful execution of "Breakout," where certainly worth mentioning is the vocal part composed by Riell - lead voice - Sherrie Anne Grieve - opera singer - and the male part by Jareth Skullek. As anticipated, "Breakout" is a combination of sound/visual elements, which are found here in the choice of giving shape to each track through an image created by photography master Franco Donaggio. In conclusion, we can define "Breakout" as a successful album, on which one should spend some time to understand every nuance but still interesting in its form.
