The idea was to rip the songs from Myspace, listen to them, and dump loads of crap on them. You know, good intentions always die. Because if you're honest, and you've uploaded those mp3s, you have to admit that what’s shattering your eardrums is great material. Anyway, I come on the damn Debaser, and I expect to read something about this "album promo!"—even another self-review, nothing, the good Sid takes care of it.
There aren't many sincere bands, true to their line (even if there is no line), in one word consistent, that make balanced music (not mediocre), and at the same time carefree and disillusioned, catchy (I've been humming and whistling verses and tunes for a week) and noisy (like loud and horse-like kicks in the ass). Absolutely out of fashion, they don't sing in English, so they can utter the loudest nonsense in their lyrics, no!, they shout things to you in our dear old Italian and Sid can only be grateful.
The 4 tracks, which you can listen to on Myspace, last about 12 minutes, and constitute a summary, a promo of sorts, of an album that will see the light in the (hopefully) near future. They can boast the collaboration (during the recording phase at Blocco A in Padua) of Giulio Favero (Teatro degli Orrori), in fact, they are of excellent quality and no instrument is overshadowed, on the contrary, they are all blasted out of the speakers with a nice gut-stimulating power. I was saying "hopefully" because they're looking for someone to place it in stores. Now, it’s pointless to delve into discussions about why and how you have to scrape cubic miles of crust to find a similar group (maybe even one slightly more launched and distributed), if I hadn't "met" that idiot Alessio here, I would never have dreamed of checking out what he was cranking out with a guitar. Anyway, the hope is that bands like Iride, Il Teatro degli Orrori, indeed, the Checazzonesò and the Pincopalla (the last two are obviously invented), like rock tanks, will kill us with music more and more, and if a stupid review on Debaser can help, here it is!
