Iosonouncane is the stage name of Jacopo Incani, an Italian singer-songwriter and musician from Sardinia known for blending electronics, folk, choral elements and singer-songwriter traditions into experimental, often political works.

Debut album La macarena su Roma was released at the end of 2010 (reviewed here). Die is presented as his second work. IRA (2021) is described in reviews as a long, choral double album partly sung in an invented language and performed with multiple voices (seven on stage in live accounts). Reviews highlight ritualistic, ancestral and political themes and immersive live performances.

Reviews present Iosonouncane (Jacopo Incani) as an experimental Italian songwriter who blends electronics, folk, choral traditions and singer-songwriter forms. IRA (2021) is described as a large, choral, politically charged work sung partly in an invented language. Earlier releases and singles (La macarena su Roma, Die, Le Sirene di Luglio) show eclectic, often abrasive production and evolving arrangements. Live shows are described as hypnotic, immersive experiences.

For:Fans of experimental singer-songwriter music, electronic/folk hybrids, and politically engaged art music.

“IRA is a choral album of a man who partially renounces his own voice to embrace that of a multitude that crosses lands and seas.”
