I am back to discussing a work that finds life in the Apulian land.
After talking about "Trickle Down" by the Human Slaughterhouse, I turn my attention to their fellow countrymen Intracranial Purulency and their EP "Enthroning the Massacre".

Here, we are definitely on more extreme frequencies, although the track chosen as the intro keeps us quite far from such a definition, as it consists of some unique verses that talk about substances mostly used for psychiatric treatments, taken by an individual who apparently meets a bad end by the track's finish.

It's only with "Raping Rotten Corpse" that we realize what our fellow countrymen are made of. The guitar riffs immediately let us know that they mean business, starting off obsessively, supported by a rhythmic section that fits like a glove. The voice, characteristically growl, is the cherry on top, transforming when needed into a well-controlled and paced pig squeal. Really interesting are the central breakdown and the electric bass bridge.

"Anthropophagical Addiction" admirably picks up what the previous track had begun, hinting, however, a greater refinement in the composition, both in complexity and variety: characteristics that will be lost in the final track "Blasphemous Priest Desecration".
In this piece, breakdowns prevail, though leaving marginal space for obsessive rhythms where bass and drums go hand in hand, unleashing great power.

In short, the band shows character, good cards to play, and a good shot indeed, which in this genre is one of the most important things. Another note of merit goes to the production: clean, well-balanced sounds; at first, the drums seem to overshadow everything else, but it's an impression that doesn't last long.
I can't help but recommend listening to this EP to those who love the brutal death metal genre: they won't find anything particularly original, but they will surely appreciate it.
