Insalubrity/Excrescence/Anal Stabwound/Theurgy

Musical Group

Sheol is a split release featuring four brutal goregrind bands: Insalubrity, Excrescence, Anal Stabwound and Theurgy. The review highlights lo-fi textures and brutal sonic assault, with Theurgy leaning toward classic Death metal guitar work.

A split titled Sheol featuring four brutal goregrind acts, praised for its sonic assault and lo-fi charm. Anal Stabwound is singled out for particularly lo-fi textures; Theurgy shifts toward more virtuosic, Death metal-inflected guitar work. Recommended for connoisseurs and fans of extreme metal; approach in small doses.

For:Fans of goregrind, extreme metal collectors, and listeners of underground split releases.

this is a gem for connoisseurs, a carefree gore-story, damn (necessary adjective) and delightful if taken in homeopathic doses; the hardcore fans with perfect pitch (certainly not me) might also amuse themselves by spotting the differences between Insalubrity, Excrescence, and my favorites, Anal Stabwound (forget about fissures...), as if they had a crossword puzzle in their hands.
