Illusion of Safety is an American experimental/industrial project founded by Daniel Burke in Chicago in 1983. The project explored ambient, electroacoustic and noise-inflected sound collage with a rotating cast of collaborators, including Jim O’Rourke on a trilogy of early-1990s releases.
