The Illdisposed, in eighteen years of a highly respected career, have never engaged in sleight of hand; on the contrary, they have always presented themselves by claiming their proud sonic nature, without hiding anything, without trying to confuse the listeners, and without employing tricks or subterfuges to deceive potential buyers. Therefore, the choice of a title like "The Prestige" should perhaps be seen as a claim by the Danish formation, which, although playing a recognizable death metal (among the best in Europe), has been able to "transform" and tune in to contemporary wavelengths, not limiting themselves to relying on a dated or past-anchored sound, but capable of presenting themselves with credibility in the precise historical moment in which they found themselves, not neglecting other musical forms to enrich themselves.

The same goes for the new work, which unleashes pure power, hammering from start to finish, leveraging a compact and solid metal form that takes their death metal onto a treacherous terrain (considering the disproportionate number of bands grazing there), namely that of the mixture between metal and hardcore. But the band's capabilities are such that they can handle themselves admirably even in such a context, by virtue of a sound with a solid and subtly melodic groove, with an evident dose of creativity applied to songwriting and an experience that is put to good use.
