"Io prendo casa sopra un ramo al vento" is the third album by the Reggio Emilia band, led by singer Andrea Zanichelli. The CD consists of 9 tracks totaling 31 minutes of excellent pop/rock music. The album's release was preceded by the single "Cambiano le cose," which is enjoying great success on the radio circuit.
The album opens with the song "Che cosa conta," an energetic, angry track (What really matters to us? Something worth dying for? Something worth living for? What counts?) The next track follows with the single "Cambiano le cose," a classic pop song with a catchy chorus that will hardly leave your head. "Io prendo casa sopra un ramo al vento" and "La mia buona stella" are the two rock melodies on the album that will surely make the front rows at their concerts jump. What I appreciate most from Il Nucleo are the very "Travis"-like ballads that once again do not disappoint expectations. "Vorrei un motivo" (I would like to not be confused to have everything clear to discover what I'm looking for to feel right inside), "Non smettero di cercarti" (Will it be tonight or will it be the September air; it will be that everything always changes; it will be these days that keep brushing against us; I won't stop searching for you), and "La mia occasione" (One day you will wake me up, take me with you, face the world to the end, leave our mark, love to the fullest) and finally the tracks "Un giorno libero" and "Macchine dell'amore" that, in my opinion, mark the lowest points of the album.
What to say? This is the album of confirmation, even though I knew the great potential of this band, certainly one of the best Italian pop/rock realities, a breath of fresh air amidst so much garbage that TV and radio offer us daily, and above all, we must support Italian music, underestimated by many.
