Rating: "We died at twenty" or "I died the exact moment I paid at the register to buy this CD," could be the ideal subtitle continuation for the debut CD by "Il Cile", or rather Lorenzo Cilembrini (blue eyes, tattoo just below the throat, passable - as fourteen-year-old girls in full hormonal storm would say - dark glasses and a guitar case of a seasoned rocker, one would have to understand if there's really a guitar inside the case, or if out of shame it has not sought political asylum with Maurizio Vandelli).
A nice "disposable" project, that once listened to does not certainly make one want to pick it up again even for the most remote and depressed areas of the human soul. Despite here and there the lyrics seem to travel just a bit better and above the "Tiziano Ferro ironing style" (at least with a few more cues - benzodiazepine aside -), the music and arrangements travel blandly throughout the CD, without particular thrills.
Fortunately "Il Cile" at least sings with his own voice, with his own timbre, not like in the single "Cemento Armato", where lyrics that could have been saved are trivialized through the singing and "imitation" of a Giusy Ferreri who seems to have swallowed Topo Gigio.
"I am the blade, that splits the all-Italian song in two", our artist declares in "Lametta", but perhaps splitting the Italian song in two requires something else (in these times a necessary mending would be more desirable rather than more rips), because it seems that the Italian song has been widely exsanguinated, disemboweled, and depleted by the many too many friends of De Filippi, reality shows, and various x-factors; also recalling that Rettore, many years ago, used blades for quite a different purpose... (if you have a couple of spare ones, do as you please!!!!). As for the rest, this Cile (perhaps "Peru"), I don't believe will go down in history, nor in mathematics, philosophy, or art... maybe in the occult sciences of S.I.A.E. compensations!
