Nine years ago.
Exactly nine years ago, one of the best hardcore punk albums of this decade was released. The work consists of thirteen (sixteen in the European version) explosive tracks, finding unconvincing pieces in this emotional sequence is truly impossible even for those who aren't very familiar with this musical genre that is not exactly within everyone's reach.
Despite the themes addressed in many tracks (abandonment, domestic violence), what the album conveys with greater conviction is a constant reaction to negativity and, in full hardcore style, an incessant anthem to never give up, as in the splendid and fast-paced "Hands On Stance", and then highlight the song "Veteran", perhaps the most famous track of the Californian quartet, or "Fill In The Blanks", where the robust Zoli Teglas showcases his talents behind the microphone.
Going through the songs one by one doesn't make much sense for an album that fits into this musical genre, if you haven't yet had the chance to come across this album and consider yourselves true Hardcore Kids, well, download it, even better buy it, in short, do what you want but try to get this splendid example of anger, reaction, and energy transmitted in music.
For all those who listen to music based on genre labels... whether "New," "Old," "Melodic," or whatever, it doesn't matter much, the Attitude is right, the sounds too, not to mention the lyrics... It's Hardcore Baby, take it or leave it.
