THE REVIEW

The raw sound of the underground, a flow of beats and rhymes that strike the neurons like sharp swords.

This is Force Fed, the first work of the young Ide that takes us back in time, to the sick and lysergic visions of the late '90s, when Company Flow and the underground ruled. Force Fed is a journey into the darkest recesses of a twisted mind, a raw diamond to handle with care, like dynamite for the most experienced artificer.

The macabre and futuristic vortex of the cover is indicative: here we will not find anything reassuring, but a dark and sinister atmosphere, made of sharp lyrics, heavy drums, minimal and obsessive melodies, the perfect meal for those who, in a suffocating musical landscape like the current one, are still looking for something true and genuine. It's time to choose the grandmother's exquisite cake and forget the usual McDonald's, to let ourselves be involved (and upset) by the futuristic sounds of "Coat Of Arms" and "Ravenous", by the disturbing delusions of "Superior Knowledge", by the melancholy of "What Happenz", thus entering, together with the crazy Ide, a parallel, dreamlike dimension, a desert where sounds and sensations emerge like mirages on the horizon, ready to amaze our imagination.

The flaws thin out, as do the distances covered by a genre that many, too many, had given up for lost. Force Fed is an album that has the flavor of resurrection, and it is a tangible sign that hip-hop, in the third millennium, still has something to say.

Let's give it a chance.
