Today I have a problem: the effort has gone to hell, but I still feel like writing.
I've found the condition that suits me. That is, an album that I really appreciate, but that needs few words to be described.
It's not a matter of delving into the tracklist. It's the fact that the debut of Icy Steel is universal and homogeneous and doesn't need detailed presentations.
Icy Steel is compact heavy metal, solemnly paced and grand. It is melancholic metal on the verge of doom. It is metal that partly reminds of the epic Bathory.
It is metal that, in a handful of words, allows me to describe for you a unique album in its songwriting, but that grows track by track, listen after listen.
Icy Steel is Viking melancholy that remains purely heavy, even if oriented on mid-tempos and far from doom metal.
Icy Steel is epic and grand metal, it is authenticity set to music. It is the primordial cry of heroic and glacial metal.
Icy Steel is the paced advance of Nordic heroism.
Icy Steel allows me to describe in a few sentences this Italian gem of rare beauty.
Production worth mentioning.
