Iceburn is an American experimental post-hardcore group from Salt Lake City led by guitarist Gentry Densley. Active through the 1990s (often as Iceburn Collective), they blended hardcore, jazz, and prog on releases for Revelation Records, and returned with Asclepius in 2021 on Southern Lord.

Formed in Salt Lake City, Utah by Gentry Densley; known for the 1993 concept album Hephaestus; released key records on Revelation Records; later billed as Iceburn Collective; reformed with Asclepius (Southern Lord, 2021). Densley is also known for Ascend.

A single, enthusiastic review spotlights Iceburn’s Hephaestus as a seminal, 78-minute concept split into four suites. The band fuses hardcore aggression with Sonic Youth-style noise, jazz, prog, and grunge edges. Gentry Densley’s distinctive vocal approach adds a rock aura.
