Ice Cube (O'Shea Jackson Sr.) is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and filmmaker from Los Angeles. He rose to prominence with N.W.A before launching a solo career with AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted (1990) and Death Certificate (1991), followed by The Predator (1992). Beyond music, he created and starred in film franchises such as Friday and Barbershop.

Member of N.W.A; co-founder of Westside Connection with Mack 10 and WC; active actor, writer, and producer (Friday, Barbershop); inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with N.W.A in 2016.
