malley8's review praises Ian Hunter's 2007 album Shrunken Heads for returning to his American-tinged rock and ballad strengths. The review highlights solid arrangements, harmonica, guitar work and Hunter's renewed vocal attack. It frames Hunter as a veteran survivor of '70s British rock who often collaborated with Mick Ronson.

For:Fans of classic British rock, followers of Mott the Hoople and David Bowie collaborators, and listeners of singer-songwriter rock.

I can understand that the idea of an Englishman who - musically speaking - tries to do the American thing (not that he's the only one, mind you) might make many turn up their noses.
