THE REVIEW

The former leader of the Stone Roses arrives at his third solo effort. Not that he has ever shone as a single, except for "Like a Mountain," a great single from the previous album. This CD is somewhat flat, I would say neither fish nor fowl. A series of electronic sounds alternate with analog beats and the whispered voice of the monkey from Manchester. A mélange of sounds without a precise direction, nothing that captures attention, that deserves something more in-depth.

Summary by Bot

Ian Brown's third solo album, Music Of The Spheres, is criticized for its lack of direction and failure to captivate. Unlike earlier singles, this album's mix of electronic and analog sounds comes across as flat and uninspired, failing to engage listeners.
