A good way to find great, hard-to-find bands? Listen to a song by a band of the genre that interests you, preferably not uploaded on the band's official channel, and then click on one of the suggestions you don't know. From this moment on, you can repeat this last step indefinitely, and, at least according to my experience, the results will be truly rewarding.
I Create is precisely one of these little gems, which, despite being characterized by a very limited fame (and we're not talking about lack of fame in Italy or Europe, but lack of fame overall) still boasts an absolutely extraordinary quality.
There is very little information available about them: originally from Atlanta, Georgia, after 2008 they disbanded only to reunite recently, and throughout their career, they have released an EP ("Make The Years"), this "All We Are Is Now" and a compilation of all the tracks from these two releases.
Their style is essentially simple: old-school screamo outbursts flavored with thrilling post-rock atmospheres and an emo vibe that you perceive from the first to the last minute of the album. All supported by a production that, however good, always remains underground, providing that sense of intimacy that allows you to fully enjoy it all.
The average level is excellent, although from a purely personal point of view, the standout tracks are the closing "Harbor," which embodies the most post-rock side of the group, "Song For Youth," which represents a perfect blend of screamo and emo, and finally "Adrift," which in two and a half minutes strongly takes us back to the times of pg.99.
I Create, a group lost in the American underground among a mass of similar groups. All we are is now. The more I think about it, the more I realize that there couldn't have been a more fitting title.
