Lugano is a strange city.
At 5:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon, everything is closed—shops, museums, even the cemetery. It's raining, it's cold, and there isn't a soul around except for a few foreigners. And us. It's no surprise to think that Dario Argento chose Ticino to film some scenes of his movies.

Soon, however, we are saved by our hosts, who welcome us into the comfort of a warm, cozy house full of interesting things...
A bottle of red wine, a sip or two or three of homemade grappa, and we're ready for the evening. We arrive at the Living Room around midnight, the place is small but intimate and very nice, the crowd cheerful and filled with anticipation for the British DJ's first appearance in Lugano.

Howie B is called by one of the organizers, who invites him to take position behind the console and start the evening. And so, it all begins.
The console is practically on the dance floor, so close you can see the expressions on his face, the nose curls and his great amusement in playing a track, having fun with it, and then another, looking into the faces of those listening: he is a GENIUS!
Through the filters of his electronic music, everything passes: rock, hip-hop, dub, minimal, tribal, a tribute to all the genres scratched as it's meant to be, and as only he knows how.
He drives the crowd into delirium, dancing for almost four hours continuously, including us, rewarding us once more for the long journey. The pace is always high, sometimes it "lowers," almost to give a breather, only to climb back to dizzying rhythms... What a legend!

It's no coincidence that this lad from Glasgow has been called to collaborate with some of the most prestigious names in the world of music, from Madonna to U2 (not to mention various soundtracks), everyone sooner or later seeks his magic.
We are exhausted, but we can't stay still, Howie is a great entertainer, a cartoon in appearance and two Sylvans instead of hands. When, weary, we get in the taxi to go to sleep and say goodbye to our sweet sister, we can't (and don't want to) hide a smile of satisfaction...

Lugano, a very beautiful city.
