Refined single created by Valo and company in 2003 following the elegant yet solid "Love metal." This "The sacrament" delights fans of the Finnish combo with three intense and emotional tracks.
The start entrusted precisely to the title-track unleashes the band’s features with naturalness, power, and great class. Introduced by liquid piano notes that are slightly baroque, it develops into a stream of touching harmonies, giving way to Ville's delicate voice. The refrain is agile and seductive, the instrumental part cohesive and homogeneous thanks to a crystal-clear, rounded production without any smudges.
Interesting is the intermediate gem " Buried alive by love," here presented in a "live" version where the impact and the piercing groove make it even more striking, if possible. Faithful yet heartfelt singing, mature and emotional with a "screamed" finale in great crescendo. The whole thing closes with a true gem, namely the entirely acoustic version of the hit "The sacrament." The vocal-instrumental duet dazzles with beauty, the Finns' pop soul emerges bright and intensely romantic. Weeping of sonic "grace".
A single suitable for all tastes as it blends the group's "heavy" side with the shrewd and shamelessly-commercial melodic one, as a corollary to an album ("Love metal") that represents the pinnacle of the eighties metal-pop flavor duo, a basic peculiarity of HIM.
