THE REVIEW

BUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My review could end here, but reluctantly I decide to continue.

I bought the CD (yes, that's right, I got the original for 20 euros!) as soon as it was released, going against my moral ethics of buying a record just from the cover image. In fact, seeing Hilary’s sweet, seductive face on the cover, my defenses crumbled.

I brought the CD home well aware that I had made a mistake in buying it, put it on the stereo, and there went my sanity. The album opens with the new track "Fly", a cute piece for heaven's sake, perhaps the only decent one from the (so-called) Texan singer. It continues with "Ourlips are sealed" and "Shine" tracks taken from her first album (which was released only in America), followed by a huge collection of remixes from 'Most Wanted', her first album released in Italy, as if to say: "I don't have any desire to produce other songs, so I’m throwing in some crappy remixes."

The sad thing is that this album was released only in Italy, a land of musical ignorance, after all, it couldn’t be otherwise, here we are big fans of people like Lily Allen, Mondo Marcio, Blu, Jamelia, Pussycat dolls, and on and on, is this enough to convey the opinion the world has of us?

Let me explain how it works: the major labels decide to promote a "disposable" singer or group and guess where they will have the best profits? But of course, in Italy! Here they give us back all the world's musical crap. Hilary Duff is no more than a circus act (as many others have been before her), my opinion is that she won’t last long, as her only fans are just twelve-year-olds with raging hormones.

As for me, I keep the CD well separated from all the others (Depeche Mode, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Pink Floyd, Kiss, etc...) as it is like a virus nestled in a musical organism.

Uhnnn!! What is it, mom?...... yes, I'll take the medicine later...... unfortunately I have to take the psychotropic drugs..... anyway, Miss Duff, I haven’t finished with you yet!!

Last note: "Shitty review for a shitty singer"

The reviewer expresses disdain for the album's quality and questions its appeal beyond very young fans. It also comments on Italy's music market favoring 'disposable' pop acts. Overall, the tone is sarcastic and highly negative.
