Everyone knows that here in Italy, metal music is not appreciated like in the States or in the Nordic countries, and in fact, there are bands that put their soul into releasing even a minimum of a record.

The soul was put in by Highlord with "Medusa's Coil," which has turned the history of Italian metal. The fact is that this album only sells in Japan (who knows why)... Anyway, let's get into the details: as soon as I heard the title-track, I said to myself: "Damn, this is real metal", with a fun, carefree riff (like Andrea Marchisio's voice). Then "Far From The Light", is the pure metal of power metal.

Going on, I find myself at song 4, "Dancing With Destiny" and I wonder: "I can't believe it, can they really be Italian?" A terrifying riff that recalls Malmsteen's notes, solos that speak for themselves, and all with a blend of great voice. We arrive at track 6, because the others aren't commented on due to their allure; it's called "Moonseas" and this time I'm at a crossroads: "Should I turn off the stereo or else I'll faint?". The stereo stays on, the music continues and the adrenaline rises note by note. Breathtaking solos, it seems like a soundtrack for a horror film, elaborate, decisive, dark, and solemn. The album is about to end when I hear a classical sonata booming in my ears: could I have been infected by their power metal? I hope and I think YES!!

Great album, little production but when there's soul, it's everything!! I say... Cleon for Italian Metal is in favor. The word to you!!
