Giving such a name to your project is certainly a very bold choice as well as a double-edged sword. Some may find it repugnant, others immoral, while others, like myself, may find it so suggestive as to start searching without even knowing what it's about. If it had been "Heroin in Your Veins," I would have dismissed it as well, but "l'eroina e le tue vene" is a provocation that captivates me.

Behind the bizarre name lies a Finnish musician, Janne Perttula. In the brief biography on his website, he states that he is influenced as much by Bohren & der Club of Gore and Tom Waits as by Franz Kafka.

Listening to the album, one gets the idea that the artist wants to accompany the entire journey of a shot, imagining it as a short film; the titles alone almost write a brief script, and the music indeed winks strongly at cinema. Janne does not hide this strong interest of his and places Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti among the "top friends" of his Myspace.

It is easy listening music, for a night-time road trip in a convertible within a dead city, street lamps and signs light the way, towards nothingness
